When St Hugh's College in Oxford were looking to commission a range of distinctive contemporary furniture for their fabulous new Dickson Poon China Studies Centre, they turned to Makers' Eye.
We aimed to complement the subtle Oriental influence of the architecture in our Poon designs, bringing a pure, light feel to all the work.
Durable and practical but with careful attention to proportion and detail, the Poon desk is made from solid oak with the drawers sitting on full extension runners to allow full access.
The St Hugh's range was successful for us in winning both the national Wood Awards and a coveted Design Guild Mark.
