This wonderful piece was made to commission to a very demanding brief, no expense spared! As a consequence we were able to introduce hand carved supports to the corners at each level. giving the sculptural feel that the client requested within the ziggurat format, each level being larger in all dimensions than the one above, in order to provide accommodation for books of virtually all sizes.
The carved and mitred supports and all sculptured lippings are from solid English sycamore, with quartered English burr ash veneers to both faces of all the horizontal levels.
All this is supported on a smooth and silent ring bearing set into the base, giving free and totally stable movement at the touch of a finger.
The dimensions as depicted are shown below but, being individually handmade to order, these can be to your own specification, as can all other details and materials.
