The table incorporates a piece of character yew beneath a central sheet of toughened safety glass set flush into the oak tabletop, providing a heat resistant central area for hot serving dishes, whilst still allowing good room for surrounding place settings.
The underside of the table top slants in towards the recessed oak ‘undercut’ between the tabletop and the supporting leg tops and rail.
The legs, whilst square at the top narrow to a triangular ‘footprint’ at the bottom ~ the outside corner edge of each leg cutting away from a point level with the bottom of the table rail and tapering inward to the bottom of the table leg.
Also available are matching chairs (£445 each) which have inlays of character yew in the front of each top rail, shaped central splats and front legs shaped in the same way as those of the table. A matching sideboard and display dresser can be made to order. Please enquire.
