Yogi-Yogini is a grand reversible cheval mirror in solid American Black Walnut with one giant mirror face in silver – the male side, and the other in bronze – the female. The mirror frame hangs suspended on precision-engineered ball-bearing mounted pivots.
Its two large and one small push-release drawers are lined in soft lambs leather and backed with mirror-finish copper and steel respectively. The joints of the drawers are reinforced with decorative dovetail mitre keys in European Walnut.
The mirror-polished metal on the back face of each drawer also features as a decorative inlay set into the support posts. The angle of the mirror is adjusted on its pivots by the positioning of the meditative chiming Baoding balls. Its strong yet gentle poise is evocative of the male yogi, and its female counterpart the yogini.
This piece is inlaid with a gold maker's mark and a numbered edition disc – only 25 will ever be made.
