A dining room storage cabinet available to be remade to customer specifications and sizes. This striking and powerful cabinet was conceived after witnessing a city scene in New York; buildings were silhouetted against a misty haze with the sun breaking through in the distance throwing shadows against the haze. The pattern is created by carefully cutting veneer squares at 45 degrees and joining them together in various combinations – ebony being used to represent the buildings in the bottom right with their shadows then shown in madrona burr lightening towards weathered sycamore and figured sycamore in the top left corner. Inside, the cabinet has one single and one double cupboard, each with a single adjustable wooden shelf. It is finished in a semi-gloss lacquer to give good protection and bring out the full colours of the veneers.
