As a primary requirement of this design was the generous storage capacity, I proposed gently sweeping ends to reduce the visual mass without impacting significantly on its usefulness. I had in my mind the swoosh of a line created with a calligraphy brush.
The specification for this piece was for the most superb quality throughout, allowing us to make solid English Oak drawers, fully dovetailed front and rear, with solid Cedar of Lebanon drawer bottoms.
The graceful lines of the piece are picked out with cock beads to the front, and a Burr Walnut inlay.
