This carver chair was originally designed as a chair to accompany a desk, and it is eminently suitable for both applications. The rear legs were cut from a curved piece of walnut which allows the leg to follow the grain and therefore maintain maximum strength. Through mortice and tenon joints provide great strength and visual appeal.
